All Day William Shakespeare's Othello

Shakespeare serves up a searing and operatic tale of envy and manipulation. The Machiavellian mind of Iago yield machinations that wreak heartbreaking havoc for those around him while seducing us with his glee and gall.

8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Suffolk Service Challenge
Suffolk Service Challenge (September 16 – September 30) 

Start the year with the Suffolk Service Challenge by participating in a series of volunteer projects and other fun events. Participants will receive a t-shirt and a chance to win fabulous prizes.

To join the Suffolk Service Challenge please complete the online registration form or contact the Center for Community Engagement (CCE). After you have registered, stop by the CCE in Donahue 209 to pick up your t-shirt. 

Participants must register on SUconnect for each CCE event that they plan to attend and will receive points for each event that is attended.  The three students who have earned the highest number of points at the end of the Challenge will be eligible to win 2 tickets to a Bruins hockey game, an MBTA LinkPass or a Hubway 1-year membership.

On Thursday, October 1, there will be a luncheon from 1-2 to celebrate all that has been accomplished during the Service Challenge!                
9:00 AM - 7:00 PM The Adams Gallery presents V - A Graphic Design Exhibit - through October 12

The Adams Gallery presents V, an exhibit of thesis projects by Suffolk University student-artists completing a master of arts in graphic design.

The show features a variety of media within graphic design and reflects the conceptual and critical thinking skills that students developed during their master thesis work.

An opening reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 19, and the exhibit runs through October 12.  

The following graphic design students from Suffolk's New England School of Art & Design are featured in the exhibit:

  • Alex Criscuolo
  • Verayouth Chotivanich
  • Tanner Huynh
  • Rajavi Shah
  • Janet Khuu

The Adams Gallery is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.at the gallery, located in Sargent Hall, 120 Tremont St., Boston.

10:30 AM - 2:00 PM More Than Words

More Than Words is a nonprofit social enterprise that empowers youth who are in the foster care system, court involved, homeless, or out of school, to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.  Volunteers work alongside youth to help manage the online and retail bookselling by sorting and entering books, filling out orders, and managing the storefront.  This opportunity is limited to the first 15 participants who register through SUconnect. Volunteers will meet in the Donahue Lobby and travel together to the site.

Rampage Show Choir sings and dances to pop songs and modern show tunes. They have a show every year. Stop by the Performing Arts Office at D409 for more information and to sign up!

Join Best Buddies in the Sawyer Lounge for their first event of the semester!
2:30 PM - 6:30 PM The Ramifications Auditions
The Ramifications are Suffolk's popular co-ed a cappella group. Formed in the spring of 2001 and comprised of 12-15 students, they quickly made a name for themselves in the Suffolk community, the Boston area, and even around the Northeast. The group has a contemporary repertoire spanning everything from pop and rock to R&B and soul.  Stop by the Performing Arts Office at D409 for more information and to sign up!
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Dance Company Auditions
The Dance Company is comprised of dedicated dancers who work with a professional choreographer in preparation for performances both on and off campus. Styles include hip hop, jazz, lyrical and modern. SUDC has a show each semester. Stop by the Performing Arts Office at D409 for more information and to sign up!
