In this brand-new show that blends educational and historical material with entertainment, a national performance troupe showcases the lives of 6 Latinos who have made incredible contributions to American culture and society. They perform characters whose lives have influenced science, civil rights, sports, the economy, the Armed Services, labor relations and education. It is an awe-inspiring work that will open your eyes to the amazing people who shaped America.

Come audition for Sketchual Misconduct. Sketchual Misconduct writes, produces and performs original sketch comedy pieces! Sign up for an audition on the bulletin board outside of the Performing Arts Office on the 4th floor of the Donahue. 
2:30 PM - 3:50 PM TOEFL
Prepare to take the paper-based TOEFL Test. Learn test-taking strategies. Become familiar with the sections of the test (listening, structure and reading), skills needed to do well on each section of the exam, and the types of questions commonly asked. Take practice tests and discover what areas you need to improve.

This workshop takes place in the Center for Learning and Academic Success (room 3062) on Thursdays 2:30-3:50.

Over one hundred students will have the opportunity to travel to various locations across the United States to volunteer in communities of need. Attend the information session to learn more about the trips and how to apply. Meet in the Boston Room, 150 Tremont Street.

5:30 PM - 10:30 PM Fall Fest Audition: Independent Acts
Come audition for Suffolk's annual variety show! Fall Fest takes place during Homecoming Weekend and this year's theme is Welcome Home, and will feature great songs and sketches. Come audition as a group or individual. In the past, individual acts have included solo singers, duets, cultural dancing, instrumental solos. poetry readings, lip synching, and comedy routines. We can't wait for your audition! 
5:30 PM - 8:00 PM Prison Book Program
Join us for an evening of service at the Prison Book Program in Quincy to help promote education and literacy for prisoners. Read letters from prisoners and sort and package books to be sent to them. Volunteers meet at the S.O.U.L.S. Center, Donahue 209, at 5:30 and travel together to Quincy. This service opportunity is limited to the first 6 volunteers who R.S.V.P. through SUconnect.
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Rhythm Auditions

In Between is a semi-autobiographical one man show that portrays the complexities and contradictions inherent in Palestinian-Israeli identity. On the precipice between two cultures stands Ibrahim Miari, son of a Palestinian Muslim father and Jewish Israeli mother. During an interrogation by Israeli airport security, he recalls his childhood in Acco, memories of his Jewish and Palestinian grandmothers, of war. Questions surrounding his identity become even further complicated by his imminent marriage to a Jewish American woman. A discussion with the artist will follow the performance.
Ibrahim Miari is a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Suffolk University.
