8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Suffolk Service Challenge
Suffolk Service Challenge (September 16 – September 30) 

Start the year with the Suffolk Service Challenge by participating in a series of volunteer projects and other fun events. Participants will receive a t-shirt and a chance to win fabulous prizes.

To join the Suffolk Service Challenge please complete the online registration form or contact the Center for Community Engagement (CCE). After you have registered, stop by the CCE in Donahue 209 to pick up your t-shirt. 

Participants must register on SUconnect for each CCE event that they plan to attend and will receive points for each event that is attended.  The three students who have earned the highest number of points at the end of the Challenge will be eligible to win 2 tickets to a Bruins hockey game, an MBTA LinkPass or a Hubway 1-year membership.

On Thursday, October 1, there will be a luncheon from 1-2 to celebrate all that has been accomplished during the Service Challenge!                
8:30 AM - 12:15 PM Esplanade Clean-Up

Volunteer to help with park maintenance of Boston’s Charles River Esplanade. Participants should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, and appropriate gear for the weather. Sun protection, water, and snacks are suggested as well. The park provides tools and protective equipment. Meet in the Donahue Lobby at 8:30.  This opportunity is limited to the first 15 participants who register through SUconnect.

9:00 AM - 4:30 PM NCVAA 9th Annual Conference

Suffolk Law is proud is host the 9th Annual National Conference of Vietnamese- American Attorneys!

Attend and learn How to Effectively Deliver Legal Services that Adds Value to Clients from panelists, (i) Christine Bellon, VP Legal Affairs, Blueprint Medicines, (ii) Hoil Kim, General Counsel, GT Advanced Technologies, and (iii) Michelle Rhee, Assistant General Counsel, Bank of America.

Not sure of the recent updates from the U.S. Supreme Court? Four professors from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law, The University of Oklahoma School of Law, Texas A&M University College of Law, and University of New Mexico School of Law will provide their perspectives as legal scholars.

9:00 AM - 7:00 PM The Adams Gallery presents V - A Graphic Design Exhibit - through October 12

The Adams Gallery presents V, an exhibit of thesis projects by Suffolk University student-artists completing a master of arts in graphic design.

The show features a variety of media within graphic design and reflects the conceptual and critical thinking skills that students developed during their master thesis work.

An opening reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 19, and the exhibit runs through October 12.  

The following graphic design students from Suffolk's New England School of Art & Design are featured in the exhibit:

  • Verayouth Chotivanich
  • Tanner Huynh
  • Rajavi Shah
  • Janet Khuu

The Adams Gallery is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.at the gallery, located in Sargent Hall, 120 Tremont St., Boston.

Brooklyn Boulders Somerville is a new type of community space, inspired by the incredible people drawn together by climbing. The climbing community is active, inclusive and engaged, and now is your chance to check it out for yourself! Ticket price includes an unlimited day climbing pass and gear rental. Please dress in gym clothes or active wear, as this is a physical activity.

Haymarket is Boston's centuries-old open air market in the historic heart of the city, just steps away from Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the elegant Millennium Bostonian Hotel. Most vendors are from the nearby North End, but there are also stalls representing foods and cultures from all over the world. After we explore, indulge with an authentic Italian cannoli or pastry at Modern Pastry, a North End institution for over 150 years.
