12:00 AM Online Course Design Institute
Faculty are invited to participate in the 4-week Online Course Design Institute. The OCDI is recommended for faculty who are preparing to teach an online course, interested in learning about developing an online course, or who may already be teaching an online course but would like to incorporate some additional online teaching and learning strategies. This interactive, online workshop has been redesigned to align with the research-based Quality Matters rubric. The OCDI runs Sep 18 - Oct 13.

Join us as we kick off the Dear World event on our campus. 

From 9 am - 3 pm there will be an Open Photo-shoot in the Student Activities Center on the 3rd Floor of the Sawyer Building.

The Undergraduate Academic Advising Center is offering a workshop series throughout the month of September to help you hit the ground running and make the most of your first month at Suffolk.

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Faculty Resource Fair

All faculty (new, seasoned, full and part time) are invited to stop by The Commons on the 5th floor of Sargent Hall to for a few minutes to learn more about the multiple campus resources that are available to them and to their students.  Enjoy a cup of copy and a snack while you meet with:

  • Representatives from the Sawyer and Law Libraries, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and the Center for Teaching and Scholarly Excellence will be on hand to share resources and programs that support faculty in their teaching.


  • Representatives from Law Dean of Students, Division of Student Affairs, Academic Advising, Academic Access and Opportunity, Career Development, Disability Services, International Student Services, Learning and Academic Success, and Study Abroad will be on hand to share resources that are designed to help students fully engage in the process of learning.

Faculty who chat with at least 5 of the available representatives will be eligible to enter a raffle for prize.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Muslim Conversations
Join our halagah or "circle" to gain a deeper knowledge of current events through a Muslim lens.

All events take place in the Interfaith Center, Sawyer 823!
