The Online Course Design Institute (OCDI) is a six-week online learning experience that offers a coherent, holistic approach to online course design.  During the first five sessions, you will experience first hand what it is like to be an online student while you learn about, discuss, and put into practice strategies and theories related to designing, creating and facilitating an online course. The final session is an individualized session (scheduled at your convenience) during which we will discuss your progress and talk about next steps.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Why Yes, There IS an App for That!
With Professor Potvin

Are you overwhelmed by the number of software applications available to help you with your everyday tasks? Tired of hearing people say “there’s an app for that”, then learning that there’s not just one, but several different flavors to choose from.  How do you choose?  Where do you start?

As a self-proclaimed ‘technology geek’, MJ Potvin was drowning in a sea of apps, all of which promised to help her organize her life and stay efficient.  She recently put several available apps through their paces and has, at long last, discovered the combination that works best for her.  Join her for this engaging webinar as she discusses her journey and the apps she currently uses, including:  Dropbox, Explain Everything, Evernote, One Note, Skim, Skitch, and Tap Forms.  MJ will also discuss web-based resources you can consult to determine which app is best suited to your needs
