Come join us for various educational and social events hosted by Suffolk University Hispanic Association and the Office of Diversity Services!
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Election Tuesdays - Register to Vote
Make sure your voice is heard in this November’s upcoming election. Voter ambassadors will be available in the Donahue, Sawyer and NESAD lobbies to assist you with the voter registration process.  Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 4 and voters must be registered by October 15 to participate in the election.

Come join new and returning journey minions to kick off the new semester. Enjoy yummy minion themed cupcakes!!

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Ramification Auditions
The Ramifications are looking for new singers to join their group! The Ramifications will be holding auditions on September 16th, 20th and 21st. Please sign up for an audition outside of the Performing Arts Office (Donahue 409). For your audition, please be prepared with a song to sing, and to sing with the group.
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM The Ethics of Humanitarian Response
The Suffolk Philosophy Society and the Philosophy Department present an event in the Philosophy Colloquium Series featuring Todd Finklestone, Co-Founder and Senior Director, CameroonOne

The Ethics of Humanitarian Response focuses on the international response to crises originating from natural disasters and conflict-zones as implemented by contemporary aid operations; how they are observed through the diverse global governance structure, NGOs, and state institutions; how conflict analysis has been fashioned by the history of policy-related humanitarianism; and how today’s approaches can be justified by reasoned argument or invalidated by the practical problems encountered. 
 
Refreshments will be served.

Help serve meals at the Church of the Advent to those in need. Meet at the Center for Community Engagement, Donahue 209, at 4:45 pm. This is a weekly opportunity limited to the first 3 volunteers who R.S.V.P. through SUconnect.

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Food for Thought: The Death of Michael Brown

This event will not be taking place from 1-2 on Tuesday, 9/16 as originally scheduled. Instead, Rosa Clemente will be addressing this topic as part of her Hispanic Heritage Month keynote speech on Tuesday, 9/16, at 5:30pm in Donahue 403.

Rosa is a Black Puerto Rican grassroots organizer, hip-hop activist, journalist, and entrepreneur who traveled to Ferguson to join the protests. She has appeared on CNN, C-Span, and Democracy Now, Street Soldiers, and National Public Radio (NPR).

Rosa Clemente will be presenting "Latinos y Latinas in the 21st century." 

Rosa Alicia Clemente is a Black Puerto Rican grassroots organizer, hip-hop activist, journalist, and entrepreneur. Rosa has appeared on CNN, C-Span, and Democracy Now, Street Soldiers, and National Public Radio (NPR).
