Event Description:
Ben Railton, PhD is Associate Professor of English Studies and Coordinator of American Studies at Fitchburg State University. His new book, the title of his talk, highlights how remembering the Chinese Exclusion Act can help us as we consider the issues of legal/illegal immigration and American diversity. The  inspiring American stories we discover will shift our understanding of American identity and communities, past and present. 

The talk is sponsored by the Asian Studies Program at Suffolk, the Rosenberg Institute for East Asian Studies, and the American Studies Minor Program. The talk is Free and Open to the Public. Light refreshments will be served.
