By Robert Brustein
Music by Hankus Netsky
Directed by Melia Bensussen

Tickets: Free, Reservations Recommended

King of the Schnorrers is Robert Brustein and Hankus Netsky’s delightful homage to that 2nd Avenue rogue and a loving celebration of the Yiddish theatre’s earthy comedy, melodies, yarns, and crazy wisdom. Featuring original klezmer music, this staged reading is directed by Melia Bensussen. A discussion with the creative team will follow the reading.

Join us starting at 7pm for Yiddish film and a live klezmer band in the Modern lobby.

Co-produced by the Suffolk University Theatre Department and Boston Playwrights' Theatre. Co-presented by the National Center for Jewish Film.
