The 1913 Celebration

Event Description
The Alumni Association and the Office of Diversity Services' recognition ceremony for graduating LGBTQ students, international students and students of color. 


1913, the year Suffolk graduated its first "diverse" student. Thaddeus Alexander Kitchener, from Kingston, Jamaica is thought to be Suffolk's first Black graduate. Since that time Suffolk has graduated many diverse students from various backgrounds, cultures, countries of origin, genders, and sexual orientations.


On the centennial anniversary of this occasion we ask alumni, faculty and friends to join with us for an evening of recognition, celebration and networking.
