View work from BFA and MA candidates in our Interior Architecture & Design program. 
9:00 AM - 7:00 PM "The Mirror of Race: Seeing Ourselves through History"

The Adams Gallery at Suffolk University presents The Mirror of Race: Seeing Ourselves through History, a photography exhibit that challenges viewers to think about what they see when they look into this mirror onto an earlier time. Interactive elements suggest reflection about how one sees race – in oneself and in others.

The exhibit includes daguerreotypes, tintypes, ambrotypes and other forms of early photography as well as prints from tintypes made by an Air National Guardsman deployed to Afghanistan. Ed Drew’s modern-day tintypes are believed to be the first battle zone photographs using this method since the American Civil War.

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Screening of "The Iron Road"
Join us for the first Boston screening of The Iron Road. This is a story about the Canadian transcontinental railroad, the exploitation of workers, the danger, the anti-Chinese feelings, plus a romantic drama.The film screening is part of the Boston Asian-American Film Festival (AARW). It is co-sponsored by the Chinese Historical Society of New England (CHSNE) and the Rosenberg Institute for East Asian Studies at Suffolk, along with Bridgewater State University. 

Great news: all Suffolk-affiliated people, CHSNE and AARW members are admitted FREE! Funding for this series has been provided in part by the MA Cultural Council, Deloitte, Charles River Neighborhood Foundation, The Boston Foundation and Tufts Medical Center. Regular tickets are General $8, Students $5.
