All Day Annual NESAD Illustration Student Show (Multi-Day Event)
The New England School of Art and Design is hosting its annual 'Illustration Student Show' showcasing works and illustrations of NESAD students. Exhibit will be on display March 29-April 9.

Special events on Thursday, April 2nd include:
1:00-3:00 PM  Visiting artists Chris Short, Andy Fish, John S. Dykes, Dave Gordon and James Steinberg will present their work and talk about their professional experience.  They juried the work and will select award winners. Location: NESAD, Room 259 

5:00-8:00 PM Reception, with an awards presentation at 6 PM

The CTSE has developed an Online Course Design Institute that offers a coherent, holistic approach to online course design.  This series presents specific tools, ideas, strategies, and theories as part of larger processes related to teaching, scholarship, and learning. This Institute is flexible, rigorous, and relevant for faculty professional development in online course design and delivery.

The Online Course Design Institute meets online both synchronously and asynchronously.

Topics Include:

  • Creating Societal Presence in Online Courses
  • Designing Online Assessments

Safe Zone I focuses on increasing awareness and educating participants on key issues impacting the LGBTQ community, LGBTQ vocabulary, queerphobia, privilege, heterosexism, cissexism, and the basic elements of being an ally. Participants in the Safe Zone I training are given the opportunity to sign an ally pledge and receive a Safe Zone sticker.

The room selection process allows current students in housing to participate in a lottery to attain housing for the following academic year. Specific eligibility information for housing for the 2015 - 2016 academic year will be sent to each residential student and their home during the first week of February.
