Reflection is often seen as a crucial stage of the learning process. As faculty, it can be challenging to find time to reflect on your own teaching practices as well as student learning. Take this opportunity for a casual discussion focused on reflecting on your own teaching experiences and learning from other faculty reflections. Participants will walk away with a compilation of over 100 journal prompts for reflecting on teaching and learning.

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM How should we read Ancient Greek Philosophy: Heraclitus, Plato, and Others?

Marina McCoy (Boston College), George Kalogeris (Suffolk University), Gregory Fried (Suffolk University), and Distinguished Visiting Scholar Drew Hyland (Emeritus, Trinity College) will discuss the reading of Ancient Greek Philosophy.

Drew Hyland is a pioneer in the field of the philosophy of sport. His two books and many articles in the field includeThe Question of Play (1984) and The Philosophy of Sport (1990). He is very interested not only in the role of sport in liberal arts and higher education more generally, but also in contemporary national and international controversies and policy concerning sport.
