Event Description:

The Suffolk Transnational Law Review is pleased to present its annual Symposium, Target Acquired? U.S. Foreign Surveillance, Civil Liberties and Data Privacy in the Wake of the Snowden Leaks, on Thursday April 24 from 2 - 4 PM in the First Floor Function Room.  A distinguished panel will discuss the impact that U.S. mass surveillance programs have had on foreign citizens and governments.  Come hear Claude Moraes, Member of the European Parliament and head of the Parliament’s investigation into the Snowden revelations, discuss his committee’s work and the recent European Court of Justice decision prompted by this matter.  Also, listen to a thoughtful discussion by leading U.S. legal academics Peter Marguilies, Andrea Matwyshyn and Nathan Sales discuss potential U.S. legal and policy changes in the wake of these changes.
