9:00 AM - 7:00 PM "The Mirror of Race: Seeing Ourselves through History"

The Adams Gallery at Suffolk University presents The Mirror of Race: Seeing Ourselves through History, a photography exhibit that challenges viewers to think about what they see when they look into this mirror onto an earlier time. Interactive elements suggest reflection about how one sees race – in oneself and in others.

The exhibit includes daguerreotypes, tintypes, ambrotypes and other forms of early photography as well as prints from tintypes made by an Air National Guardsman deployed to Afghanistan. Ed Drew’s modern-day tintypes are believed to be the first battle zone photographs using this method since the American Civil War.

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Suffolk Law's Annual Community Day

Do you play basketball? Are you looking for a fun way to break from your studies and serve the Boston community? Then mark down April 12th on your calendars and participate in the Hoops to Help Basketball Tournament!

To commemorate Suffolk Law's annual Community Day, the External Affairs Committee of the SBA is teaming up with the Cradles to Crayons to host this tournament that welcomes all students, faculty, and alumni. Cradles to Crayons is an organization that helps children from low-income families get the resources they need, including clothes, school supplies, and for our purposes, SNEAKERS.

The tournament will be held at the Suffolk University Gym on April 12th from 9 am to 2 pm. The registration fee will be $5 or one pair of child's sneakers (new or gently used) and it includes a free T-shirt, your spot in the tournament, as well as food and drinks provided. You can sign up alone or in teams, and prizes will be given out for most creative team name, most creative team outfits, etc. Signups will take place on the fourth floor on April 10th and 11th. Remember all proceeds will be going to the Cradles To Crayons!

We are very excited to bring together our SULS community and to give back to such an amazing organization.

Any questions? Email Elizabeth Sweeney, External Affairs Director, at emsweeney@suffolk.edu. See you on the court!
