Online CDI (Course Design Institute)
Are you interested in designing an online, hybrid or technology-enhanced course?  If so, enroll in the 4-week Online CDI. The Online CDI is recommended for faculty who are preparing to teach a fully or partially online course, who are interested in learning about developing such a course, or who may already be teaching an online, hybrid or technology-enhanced course but would like to incorporate some additional research-based teaching and learning strategies. This interactive, online workshop has been designed to align with the Quality Matters rubric.  For more information, contact

This show features student work from Art & Design’s first year Foundation program. Juried selections from courses including Drawing I and II, 2D/Color, Integrated Studio I and II, 3D Design, and Imaging will be included. The Foundation program instills visual thinking and communication fundamentals, and its courses are the common first step for Art & Design programs in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, and Interior Design.

4:15 PM - 6:00 PM Postponed – Gerald Richman on the Literature of Beacon Hill
Postponed due to inclement weather.

Professor Gerald Richman will share a central chapter of his work-in-progress, tentatively titled 
The Suffolk Companion to Beacon Hill, which is inspired by more than 30 years of exploring and teaching the literature of Boston and Beacon Hill. 

His lecture, "The Literature of Beacon Hill: 1788-2018" is free.

All are welcome for weekly Zen Buddhist sitting meditation (zazen) followed by a discussion about incorporating the practice into daily living. Mats provided.
