All Day Annual NESAD Illustration Student Show (Multi-Day Event)
The New England School of Art and Design is hosting its annual 'Illustration Student Show' showcasing works and illustrations of NESAD students. Exhibit will be on display March 29-April 9.

Special events on Thursday, April 2nd include:
1:00-3:00 PM  Visiting artists Chris Short, Andy Fish, John S. Dykes, Dave Gordon and James Steinberg will present their work and talk about their professional experience.  They juried the work and will select award winners. Location: NESAD, Room 259 

5:00-8:00 PM Reception, with an awards presentation at 6 PM

9:00 AM - 7:00 PM "Chiang Yee: The Silent Traveller from the East"
The Adams Gallery at Suffolk University presents artwork from an exiled 20th century Chinese artist-author in the exhibit Chiang Yee: The Silent Traveller from the East. The exhibit is focused on illustrations from Chiang Yee’s 1959 travel book about Boston.

The exhibit features original Chiang Yee drawings and watercolors, reproductions of illustrations from his Silent Traveller book on Boston from the Boston Athenaeum’s collection, and photographs of the artist-author.

The exhibit was inspired by English Professor Da Zheng's book about Chiang Yee.

​Students will be interacting with the elderly community living in supportive housing. Volunteers prepare, serve, and share a meal with the residents of The Heritage Apartments. Volunteers meet in the Center for Community Engagement, Donahue 209 and travel together to the site. This opportunity is available to the first 4 participants who register through SUconnect.

Bettina Hein is a serial entrepreneur, and CEO at Pixability Inc. Hear her story at the upcoming Inside Leadership Series. The series introduces this generation's "self-made leaders" to the next by featuring successful business leaders who have used education, innovation, and collaboration to succeed in life. Leaders are interviewed by Larry Stybel, Executive in Residence at the Sawyer Business School before a student audience.

In the process of coming out? Questioning? Would you like someone to talk to who can support and affirm your identities? What to meet other students who are experiencing similar things?

Whether you’re a cupcake or a queer, or any other identity under the rainbow, please come out and join us on the 1st Tuesday of every month! This space is for students who are coming out or questioning their identity. Allies are welcome, but please be mindful of the space you take up.

This is a collaboration between Counseling, Health, and Wellness and Diversity Services.

Interested in learning how to cook your own healthy and cost-friendly meals in your apartment? Register for Cooking 101’s first off-campus event, hosted at a local restaurant in Beacon Hill… Piperi! The Piperi chef(s) will be teaching a highly interactive, hands-on cooking lesson in traditional Mediterranean cuisine. This unique experience is limited to the space available in Piperi’s location on 1 Beacon St, which is roughly 20 students… First come, first serve. We will not be able to accept any more than 20 students, so register quickly, and do not register if you cannot commit! The cost is $5, which you can (and should) pay with your Ram Card at Piperi.
