Khordad Sal is the celebration of the birth of the prophet Zoroaster. Zoroastrians all over the world celebrate the day with parties, special prayers, fragrant flowers and delicious meals. Children may have vermilion spots painted on their foreheads, and a grand feast is prepared to mark the occasion.

This gallery show exhibits work of undergraduate students participating in the Foundation Studies program. The students are exposed to a broad spectrum of materials, techniques and concepts in their formative year at NESADSU. Their responses reflect the visual problem solving and individual creativity so critical to their pursuit of a life in the Arts.

Located in the NESAD Gallery, 75 Arlington St., 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02116. After 7 pm and on weekends, entry is through the lobby at 10 Saint James Ave.

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Home Away from Home Coffee & Cookie Hour
Join the members of Home Away from Home every other week for coffee, cookies, and conversation. This is an excellent way to keep in touch with your buddy throughout the semester and also get to know other members in the Home Away from Home program. Open to all Students!
1:00 PM - 1:30 PM Tibetan Buddhist Meditation
Join us for a half-hour of meditation and discussion led by a practicing Tibetan Buddhist. 
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM OPT Work Authorization Workshop
Optional Practical Training (OPT) is work authorization for F-1 international students that is generally used after a student has graduated from their program. If you are graduating in December or May., come to this information session to learn about the application process and the regulations for OPT.

4:30 PM - 8:15 PM Christopher's Haven
Christopher’s Haven operates a supportive community consisting of seven temporary apartments and a community recreation area for families of children being treated for cancer in nearby Boston hospitals.

Students will be putting on a parents’ night out for families staying in the apartments. Activities will include planning activities and dinner for the children while the parents have an evening out.

Volunteers meet in the Center for Community Engagement, Sawyer 824 and travel together to the site. This opportunity is available to the first six participants who register through SUconnect
