End Date: 3/22/2016End Time: 6:00 PM

Event Description:
Dove's Cry follows the story of Hadeel, a 27-year-old religious Muslim woman who teaches Arabic at a Jewish elementary school. The film shows her relationship with both pupils and members of the school staff, affording all those involved with an opportunity to observe others' culture, refute prejudices, and dissolve fears. However, the meeting of these two cultures will inevitably result in some clashes, when back home Hadeel is being pressured to get married.

The screening will take place in the Paramount Center at Emerson College (559 Washington St, Boston, MA 02111). The film will be shown with English subtitles.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Communication and Journalism, the WGS program, the Government Department, and Emerson College.
