12:15 PM - 1:30 PM Safe Zone Training: Trans 201

Trainings offered by the Office of Diversity Services focus on understanding the identities and experiences of marginalized students. We focus on students of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and the development of ally practices. These trainings are available to faculty, staff, and students and can be customized to suit the needs of a department, organization, division, or group. Each semester, our office offers several "open" trainings to the entire campus community. Please register to ensure your seat in the training.

In this Safe Zone topics training, we focus on the transgender, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming community. Participants will learn key terminology relating to trans communities, become aware of how transphobia manifests in our everyday lives, and discuss ways to support trans students, faculty, and staff.
