12:15 PM - 1:00 PM CUES Lecture Series- David Meshoulam
Dr. Meshoulam is Executive Director of Speak for the Trees, a new nonprofit that focuses on preserving and protecting urban trees in the Greater Boston area. Urban trees provide a myriad of benefits local and global environments as well as humans' mental and physical well being. Trees are more than environmental tools that clean our air and water; they also build strong and resilient communities and empower residents and youth to become change agents. Before founding Speak for the Trees, Meshoulam was a high-school science teacher and science education professor. He developed curriculum that framed science through the lens of history as a tool to engage learners in better understanding the role of science in society. He holds a BA in Philosophy of Science, an MA in History of Science, and a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction.

Lunch buffet will be provided!

12:15 PM - 1:30 PM Job Shadowing Program Reflection Session
Location -73 Tremont/Stahl Building, Room 5030, 5th Floor Students who successfully completed job shadowing will receive a certificate at this time. Light refreshments will be available. This session will provide an opportunity for participants in the Job Shadowing Program to gather as a group and share what they experienced during the shadow day, what they learned from their hosts, and how shadowing may influence their future career plans. There will also be time to provide feedback to the Career Development Center about the overall process, and offer suggestions for future programming.
