Wrongly Convicted Defendant Ronjon Cameron Lecture
Start Date: 3/11/2016Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 3/11/2016End Time: 2:00 PM

Event Description:

Massachusetts exoneree Ronjon Cameron will speak about his journey through the criminal justice system. Cameron was wrongly convicted of murder, served 14 years in prison, and was exonerated last year based on exculpatory DNA evidence. Suffolk Law graduates Nicole Faille and Heather LaCount were instrumental in researching and writing an amicus brief on behalf of the New England Innocence Project [NEIP] in support of Cameron’s case.

The event will be held in the first-floor Function Room of Sargent Hall, 120 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02108.

Cameron will discuss the relentless efforts he undertook to prove his innocence, and how, with the help of his attorney, Laura Edmonds, the CPCS Innocence Program and the New England Innocence Project, he was finally successful.

The event is organized by Legal Practice Skills curriculum. All Suffolk Law students, faculty, staff and administrators are welcome to attend.
