CUES Lecture Series- David Meshoulam

Event Description:
Dr. Meshoulam is Executive Director of Speak for the Trees, a new nonprofit that focuses on preserving and protecting urban trees in the Greater Boston area. Urban trees provide a myriad of benefits local and global environments as well as humans' mental and physical well being. Trees are more than environmental tools that clean our air and water; they also build strong and resilient communities and empower residents and youth to become change agents. Before founding Speak for the Trees, Meshoulam was a high-school science teacher and science education professor. He developed curriculum that framed science through the lens of history as a tool to engage learners in better understanding the role of science in society. He holds a BA in Philosophy of Science, an MA in History of Science, and a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction.

Lunch buffet will be provided!
