Student Animal Legal Defense (SALDF)- Pack the court room & Speaker Panel Event:

Please join the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) Animal Rights Committee, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) on Monday, February 3rd, in Boston for two animal rights activism events!

9:30 a.m. - Pack the court! Oral argument in Blum v. Holder-----Moakley Courthouse

*What: Oral argument on the constitutionality of the AETA, in Blum v. Holder

*When: Monday, February 3 at 9:30 a.m. (please arrive 30-45 minutes early to go through security; ID may be required)

5:30 p.m. - “From Terrorism to Activism: Moving from the Green Scare to Animal Rights------Faculty Dinning Room

Please join the NLG Animal Rights Committee and CCR for “From Terrorism to Activism: Moving from the Green Scare to Animal Rights,” a speaking event co-sponsored by SALDF at Suffolk University. Panelists will discuss the arc, over the last decade, from work by progressive legal organizations defending animal rights activists as part of the Green Scare to efforts by animal rights activists to advocate directly for animals within the broader social justice community. We will also be showing a brand new short, 3-minute video by CCR, featuring the plaintiffs in Blum v. Holder. This is an important story about a growing movement. Don’t miss it!
