SUFSS Hoodie Design Contest
About the Contest
What: SUFSS Hoodie Design Contest
When: November 19, 2015 through December 6, 2015. 
Where: Designs may be submitted to sufss@suffolk.edu or placed in the Suffolk University Forensic Science Society box located in the Chemistry Department, Somerset, 8th Floor.  
Who: All students that are in good standing with the Suffolk University are invited to participate. The winning sweatshirt design will be produced by one of the University's official licensees and distributed by executive board of SUFSS as they deem fit. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to the Suffolk University Bookstore and be the first to receive a SUFSS hoodie.

How does it work? Create your hoodie design following these guidelines: JPG, PDF, PNG files are accepted The SUFSS colors should be incorporated in the design which are Maroon and white, and a secondary color of Neon yellow. The design should be created for use on a maroon sweatshirt. Use of the University's institutional logo is permitted. Download a copy of the blank hoodie template (in the Documents section of SUFSS SUConnect page) to draw your design by hand. (Scan and save as a .PDF and submit to SUFSS email.) Be sure to include name of person submitting design, email, and a signed agreement of Official Rules of Contest form (found in the Documents section of SUFSS SUConnect page) to submit your design!   Designs will be voted on quality and relevance.  
Contest Rules: The Suffolk University Forensic Science Society hoodie design contest is open to all students in good standing with the University.  Executive board members will narrow down the submissions.  Then, the top submissions will be put to a public vote on SUFSS SUConnect from December 7-14, 2015 where the winner will be selected.  The winning design will be produced and distributed to club members and Suffolk Students in the Spring of 2016.  All designs must be the original artwork of the contestant that incorporates the SUFSS brand (i.e. colors, trademarks, or logos) into the design, that has never been published, and does not contain profanity, trademarks, logos, or copyrighted works of any other person or business.  All designs submitted become property of Suffolk University.

8:30 AM - 8:30 PM Drawing=Thinking
Conceived in tandem with Cannot Be Described in Words: Drawing/Daring, at The Art Complex Museum, Duxbury, MA, the ‘exhibit’ will activate the gallery by transforming it into an interactive maker space for drawing and thinking. The programming is conceived as a response to The Art Complex Museum exhibit whose participants (four of whom are New England School of Art and Design faculty) share a sense of daring: exploring new approaches, scale and mediums that expand the definition of drawing and add to what that definition can be. 

Drawing = Thinking enhances the gallery as a site actuated by the correspondence of drawing to thinking and vice versa. Workshops and demos will give students and the general public and students the chance to experience the many ways that drawing and thinking overlap.  The results from these will contribute to a growing exhibit in the space of the gallery from November through January. 

All workshops will be during student activity period –on Tuesday or Thursday, from 1 – 2:30p.m.
