An exhibition presented in collaboration with Infrared5

Suffolk University Gallery is pleased to present the exhibit From Paper to Pixels, and to be collaborating with Infrared5 CEO Rebecca Smith Allen, who first organized the exhibit. This exhibition creates the opportunity for collaboration between traditional and new media artists. 

From Paper to Pixels pairs creative people together, to be inspired and invent new masterpieces. The results of these pairings are smart, funny, delightful. The exhibit invites the viewer to participate - to play with art, dance with characters, touch paintings to make music, interact with sculptures and make the art come alive. 
1:00 PM - 2:15 PM Flamenco Master Class with Casa Patas
Join the professional dancers of Madrid's Casa Patas Flamenco Foundation for a master class in the art of Flamenco dance. 

Free and open to all Suffolk students. Sign up on the Theatre Department call board or by emailing nsidoti@suffolk.edu. Please wear hard soled shoes and comfortable clothing.

This semester the honors marketing students are creating business/marketing plan for a new service product targeting Millennials. The presentations will be in the format of a professional conference poster session.
1:00 PM - 1:50 PM Pronunciation

Improve your ability to speak clearly and be understood. Work on intonation, stress, natural rhythm, and sounds that are hard to pronounce.


This workshop will be held in the Center for Learning and Academic Success (Room 3060) 1:00-1:50 on Tuesdays.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Qur'an Study
Join the Interfaith Center each Tuesday in D540 at 1pm for Qur'an Study.  All are welcome!

Read, Write, Remember Your Way to Academic Success!

Join us to gain insight on how the brain learns and learn new study skills you can start to use right away.

This workshop takes place in the Center for Learning and Academic Success (CLAS) in the library, 2nd level on the following dates this semester:

Tuesday 10/1 at 1pm and 4pm
Tuesday 11/26 at 1pm and 4pm
2:00 PM - 2:50 PM Grammar & Editing Skills
Brush up your knowledge of common problem areas of English grammar, such as tenses, prepositions, articles and overall sentence structure. Learn the logic behind English punctuation, especially the use of commas and periods. Practice finding and correcting errors in exercises, and in your own and other students’ writing.

This workshop will take place in the Center for Learning and Academic Success (room 3062) on Tuesdays from 2:00-2:50pm.

Read, Write, Remember Your Way to Academic Success!

Join us to gain insight on how the brain learns and learn new study skills you can start to use right away.

This workshop takes place in the Center for Learning and Academic Success (CLAS) in the library on the 2nd level on the following dates this semester:

Help serve meals at the Church of the Advent to those in need. Meet at the S.O.U.L.S. Center, Donahue 209, at 4:45 pm. This opportunity is offered every other week and is limited to the first 3 volunteers who R.S.V.P. through SUconnect.

8:00 PM Templanza - Presented by Casa Patas Flamenco Foundation
Suffolk University welcomes back Spanish Flamenco ensemble Casa Patas to the Modern Theatre to perform Templanza. Internationally acclaimed musicians and dancers José Jurado and Isabel Rodriguez re-invent flamenco in combination with jazz, klezmer, rock, and the blues. Templanza celebrates the creative harmony within each of us that drives all emotion and defines the form of the Flamenco spirit - - “palo.”

Tickets: $25 ($10 with Suffolk ID)
