High Voltage Show
Start Date: 11/13/2014Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 11/13/2014End Time: 2:00 PM

Event Description:

Join us for a High Voltage Electricity Show, presented by Tom Vales of the Physics & Engineering Department.

Using demo equipment, some of which is over 100 years old, Vales will demonstrate the more unusual effects of electricity. The talk takes us from man’s first encounter with electricity (prehistoric lightning) up to today.

He has been doing the show for 20 years and made some of the equipment himself. Attendees can get right up close to see a wide variety of interesting items.

Sponsored by the Electrical & Computer Engineering Program. Pizza will be served.
