Event Description:
韓國朝鮮將來如何 Kangho Park, Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Boston will speak about "The Korean Peninsula: Challenge & Opportunity.” This area of the world has been in the news a lot in the year 2013. It appeared the North Korean leader Kim Jongun wanted to start a war. President Obama moved in US ships and missiles, Japan went on alert, and Chinese President Xi Jinping slapped the hand of North Korea and said “Stop this now!”  Meanwhile, South Korea is an advanced and cosmopolitan society.  What to make of all this? From 10:00am to 11:15am at the Poetry Center at Suffolk University. This is located on the 3rd floor of the Sawyer Library, at 73 Tremont Street in Boston, (Enter the building and ask at the reception desk for directions to the Sawyer Library). Sponsored by the Rosenberg Institute for East Asian Studies.  Free and Open to the Public. Light refreshments will be served.
