David Ferry: A Reading

Event Description:
David Ferry will be reading from his poems and translations. His most recent award is the National Book Award in 2012 for his book of poems Bewilderment. He also won the 2011 Ruth B. Lilly Prize, from the Poetry Foundation, for “lifetime career achievement.” His books of translation include Gilgamesh; A New Rendering in English Verse; The Odes of Horace; the Epistles of Horace; the Eelogues of Virgil; the Georgies of Virgil. He currently is translating the Aeneid of Virgil.

He is a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Suffolk University.
