This trip is only for students enrolled in SCI L112 Astronomy II Lab.

11:00 AM - 11:50 AM Conversation/Pronunciation
Practice speaking in English in a supportive environment. Discuss topics of interest, learn new vocabulary and expressions, and gain confidence and improve fluency. Improve your ability to speak clearly and be understood. Work on intonation, stress, natural rhythm, and sounds that are hard to pronounce.

This workshop takes place in the Center for Learning and Academic Success on Fridays from 11:00-11:50pm.
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM Lunch with a Leader
Lunch with Dr. Geoffrey Tootell, Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Coming Home: The History of US Latinos in Broadway
The Spanish Club and the Spanish Honor Society present a special lecture by Suffolk University Theatre Alumna Dr. Colleen Rua in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Colleen Rua is Assistant Professor of Theatre at Bridgewater State University. Her manuscript, Coming Home: Representations of US Latinos on Broadway is a study of the ways in which memory and nostalgia, language and translation and urban space have contributed to the development of the Latino/a figure on stage. She has taught at Northwestern University, Tufts University and the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she recently directed Columbinus. Colleen served as Artistic Director of South City Theatre and Arlington Children's Theatre.

The lecture will be given in English. It is free and open to the public.
