Birth of the Bab
Start Date: 10/20/2014 All Day
End Date: 10/20/2014

Event Description:
Baha'i holyday: Birthday of Sayyid Al Muhammad of Iran (1819-1850), known as the “Bab” (the “Gateway” in Arabic). The Bab interpretated Islamic teachings in a profoundly new way and gathered a number of converts to him, which ultimately led to his execution. He prophesied the coming of one greater than himself, He Whom God Shall Manifest, later taken to be Baha’u’llah, laying the groundwork for the Baha’i faith.[i]
