1:00 PM - 2:30 PM Philosophy Colloquium: Call No Man Happy Until He Is Dead
The Suffolk University Philosophy Department presents an event in the Philosophy Colloquium Series with David Roochnik, Boston University Philosophy Department.

Professor Roochnik will be discussing the passage in the Nicomachean Ethics where Aristotle cites this famous quote from the wise man Solon: ³Call no man happy until he is dead.² At issue: the meaning of happiness and whether it is an attainable and stable possession. The Colloquium Series invites conversation, so a short talk will proceed into discussion. We will focus on Chapter 10 of Book 1, which is attached.

Students will be interacting with the elderly community living in supportive housing. Volunteers prepare, serve, and share a meal with the residents of The Heritage Apartments. Volunteers meet at the S.O.U.L.S. Center at 2:30 and travel together to the site. This opportunity is available to the first 6 students who register on SUconnect.
4:45 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday Night Church of the Advent Supper Club
Help serve meals at the Church of the Advent to those in need. Meet at the S.O.U.L.S. Center, Donahue 209, at 4:45 pm. This opportunity is offered every other week and is limited to the first 3 volunteers who R.S.V.P. through SUconnect.
