Event Description: Conceived in tandem with Cannot Be Described in Words: Drawing/Daring, at The Art Complex Museum, Duxbury, MA, the ‘exhibit’ will activate the gallery by transforming it into an interactive maker space for drawing and thinking. The programming is conceived as a response to The Art Complex Museum exhibit whose participants (four of whom are New England School of Art and Design faculty) share a sense of daring: exploring new approaches, scale and mediums that expand the definition of drawing and add to what that definition can be.
Drawing = Thinking enhances the gallery as a site actuated by the correspondence of drawing to thinking and vice versa. Workshops and demos will give students and the general public and students the chance to experience the many ways that drawing and thinking overlap. The results from these will contribute to a growing exhibit in the space of the gallery from November through January.
